We want to invite you to September’s SCIA’s Network Forum as part of our Representative Advocacy Program.
Representative Advocacy is a program focussed around engagement to address issues affecting those with spinal and neurological disabilities
Last month we hosted our first Online Network Forum and we were so thankful to all who participated and gave great feedback on the direction of this program.
One of the things to come out of our discussions was the creation of a regular place for people to be able to come together, to hear from guests around specific topics and be able to discuss what’s happening in their lives. With this in mind, we are looking at making these forums monthly.
For September, we have invited Duncan Wallace, Executive Director of SpinalCure Australia, an organisation who is doing great work in funding spinal cord research and has collaborated with SCIA on groundbreaking research projects.
Join us as we hear from Duncan as he gives a presentation and answers your questions on the latest updates in spinal cord injury research both in Australia and around the world.
We will also have a chance to update you on the latest news in the systemic advocacy space as part of the broader SCIA Policy and Advocacy team, as well as, updates on the feedback we received from the forum and survey and some of the exciting things we have planned for future network meetings.
As always, everyone is welcome, if you didn’t get a chance to participate in the first forum, come along and join in. We want this space to be a place for people to feel they belong and have the opportunity be as involved as much (or as little) as they are comfortable.
