SCIA Canberra Open Day 2021

Come along to SCIA’s Open Day in Canberra on Friday 3 December, 2021. We will be showcasing SCIA’s Canberra NeuroMoves exercise program, as well as our newer Peer and Family Support service and our NDIS Support Coordination/Plan Management services.

Date: Friday 3 December, 2021
Time: 10:30am – 3:30pm
Where: NeuroMoves Canberra – Flynn Community Hub, 21 Bingle Street, Flynn 2615

Our services can assist you at any stage with your disability or condition. Here is how we help our community:

  • Our Peer and Family Support team are out and about in the community to support people with a spinal cord injury. Whether you are at the start, or years in to your journey, our team is made of people with lived experience of disability and will give you non-clinical lived advice and mentoring about topics like accessing care, modifications on your home and accessing your community.
  • Our NDIS Support Coordination and Plan Management services help you navigate what can be a frustrating and confusing process. We use a person-centred, holistic model of support to our clients. Our Support Coordinators will work with you to help you understand your NDIS plan and how it can be used to best meet your needs. We believe that our clients are the experts in their situation and we work alongside to find solutions.
  • NeuroMoves is SCIA’s leading exercise and therapy service for people with all neurological conditions using an evidence-based, client-centred practice. Our specialised staff provide a safe and supportive community for clients to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. We offer a range of different programs to suit varying budgets. As well as this, we offer the first hour of our initial assessment free to SCIA members (valued at $166.99). Membership is free to all people with a disability.

Our programs vary levels of intensity in order to target functional goals, and lifestyle needs. This includes:
