The Department of Social Services (DSS) will be developing videos and communication materials for a range of communication channels to raise awareness of the new Disability Gateway service and of the employment opportunities in the support sector.

They are looking for people with lived experience of disability to share their stories and be talent for our videos and communication products.

People who participate will be paid a fee for their time.

Can you be involved?

The DSS would like a range of people to be involved, including:

  • people with lived experience of disability
  • carers of people with disability
  • paid support workers and other health professionals*.

*The Care and Support Workforce campaign is looking to recruit people with disability and their actual support workers.

What’s involved

The DSS are looking for people who would be willing to:

  • participate in a short video and photoshoot to showcase the Disability Gateway and the benefits of using it
  • participate in a short video and photoshoot to portray the role of a person with disability who is being supported by their support worker
  • provide quotes and stories to develop written case studies to be used for a variety of purposes (such as social media content, and on the Disability Gateway and Care and Support Workforce websites).

When will this happen?
