Is That… Actually Accessible?

By Spinal Cord Injuries Australia

In October this year, Professor Shane Clifton wrote a piece for The Conversation titled, ‘When even fringe festival venues exclude people with disability, cities need to act on access’ after a series of accessibility issues to attend events at one of Sydney’s biggest festivals on the calendar.

Shane is the Associate Professor of Practice, School of Health Sciences and the Centre for Disability Research and Policy, University of Sydney, and he comes on again to talk about the events that led to the article, and a much more broader conversation around whether these accessible spaces are actually accessible.
