    • Liberty Smith
    • November 16, 2021

It’s never easy for people with disability aged 65 and over to navigate NDIS, aged care funding and other support funding. This podcast episode zooms in on the topic and pays more attention to them.

In this episode we discuss support for senior Australians with a disability from the NDIS to My Aged Care funding.

You will hear lived experiences from Susan, who sustained a brain injury in 2005. She was able to get onto the NDIS before she turned 65 and Di who is the wife and primary carer of her husband, Gray, who sustained a spinal cord injury in 2019 at 70.

They discuss and compare their experiences alongside Megan, a systemic advocate from SCIA’s Policy and Advocacy team.
