Arguably, one of the most important health issues people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) will face, pressure injuries can become a serious medical issue that can be fatal if left untreated.

Learning what a pressure injury is and how to avoid it is a vital part of learning to live with an SCI. More than 85% of people with SCI and spina bifida will develop a pressure injury in their lifetime.

This presentation is given by experts and people with lived experience of SCI and pressure injuries and will cover pressure injuries and pressure care, as well as, causes, preventative measures, appropriate assistive technology and more.
