It’s never easy for people with disability aged 65 and over to navigate NDIS, aged care funding and other support funding. This podcast episode zooms in on the topic and pays more attention to them.

For this episode, we will discuss support for senior Australians with a disability from the NDIS to My Aged Care Funding. Susan Wood, the host talks with several people with disability during the conversation.

Over 65s, NDIS and Aged Care Funding

You will hear lived experiences from Susan, who sustained a brain injury in 2005. She was able to get onto the NDIS before she turned 65. Di is the wife and primary carer of her husband, Gray, who sustained a spinal cord injury in 2019 at 70.

They discuss and compare their experiences alongside Megan, a systemic advocate from SCIA’s Policy and Advocacy team.
