Finding your confidence on the days when you really feel disabled

By Spinal Cord Injuries Australia

On this episode of Have The Nerve, Susan Wood and Emily Bray focus on finding their confidence when they feel really disabled.

What does that mean? These are the days when something has happened, out of your control, and you have the very aggressive thought: “Holy crap. I’m actually disabled”.

How do you feel confident when going to the shops or going anywhere with a running commentary in your head about your plans b, c, d and e if everything goes wrong? How do you build confidence when your body doesn’t work like most people?

Building up confidence can be difficult, but Susan and Emily share their lived-experience to hopefully help you on the days when you can feel down or at a loss.
