Our NDIS Appeals team helped a client, and her parents, to receive increased funding supports.

Our advocate, Julia, assisted a young woman who has severe intellectual impairment, muscular dystrophy, severe speech and language impairment (Autism Spectrum Disorder level 3) and a psychosocial disorder. Her NDIS plan had been severely underfunded to meet her very complex and high support needs.
Julia supported the client and her parents with her NDIS Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) Appeal to increase her funded supports which included:
- 2:1 support to assist her to transition into a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) house
- Funding to continue lease payment for a modified leased vehicle
- Increase support worker rates from standard to high intensity rate, and monthly staff training.
We were extremely please by the result that all of the requested supports have been successfully argued and have been implemented into her new NDIS plan.
