    National Road Safety Week

    • May 5, 2019

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) was a proud Silver Partner of this year’s National Road Safety Week (NRSW), which took place from 6-12 May.

Traumatic accidents involving a motor vehicle are accountable for 39% of spinal cord injuries. Sustaining a traumatic spinal cord injury can affect someone not just physically, but has an enormous emotional toll on the individual and their families.  SCIA supports those affected by spinal cord injuries from the moment they arrive at the spinal unit, providing them, and their families, with lived experience and support throughout their recovery journey.
