    Royal Rehab Group and Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) Unite to Strengthen Services, Advocacy and Innovation

    Royal Rehab Group is thrilled to announce that Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) has officially joined the Group, following a successful member vote.

    This marks a new era of collaboration, combining SCIA’s deep lived-experience expertise in advocacy, peer support, and community connection with Royal Rehab’s renowned leadership in clinical innovation, rehabilitation, and disability support. Together, we will expand reach, bolster stability, and unlock new possibilities to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

    What this means for clients and the community

    • Enhanced service access and specialised support
    • Stronger advocacy and amplified voices of lived experience
    • More innovation, research opportunities, and collaborative programs
    • Sustainable growth and stability for both organisations

    Integration and transition plan

    A joint integration program is now underway. Teams from both organisations are working closely to:

    • Deepen understanding of SCIA’s services, culture, and team
    • Map and sequence key integration steps across people, systems, and processes
    • Develop a detailed implementation roadmap
    • Design change management and communications plans to keep everyone informed and supported

    This careful, phased approach will allow us to preserve what currently works, secure early wins, and build a strong foundation for long-term impact.
