SCIA strives to create tailored mutually beneficial partnerships. The partnerships listed below are active partnerships with organisations who, like us, seek the best possible outcomes for our community.
Access to travel is important to SCIA’s members and clients which is why we have a partnership with Accessible Accommodation. The team all have lived experience of disability, they get it. They also have 50 frequently asked questions, a three-tiered classification system and video footage of all properties. Booking with Accessible Accommodation gives people with disability piece of mind.
Aligne Corporate Residences (ACR) are tailored serviced apartments, proudly offer personalised, tailored accommodation for short and long-term stays, truly believing they met the inclusive wants of the accessible needs clientele, especially within the NDIS sector. ACR worked along side the SCIA Inclusion team, to help create our our pilot accommodation training program, Engage. We are incredibly grateful for their feedback and support.
Partnering with a world leading organisation like Apple brings the latest accessible innovations into the lives of people with a spinal cord injury. Apple consults with our community. They know that SCIA support so many clients and members with changing technology needs and they constantly update their products to cater for these needs.
Problem Management Engineering (PME) have been a leader in car modifications for over 30 years and have been assisting clients and members at SCIA with all their auto mobility needs as they arise. PME have been pioneering custom car modifications to meet clients’ individual needs allowing them freedom and independence regardless of their injuries.
Brain Injury Australia is the gateway to a nationwide network for optimising the social and economic participation of all Australians living with brain injury. SCIA and Brain Injury Australia have a long-standing partnership working closely together, collaborating on projects, sharing communications and opportunities and supporting each other’s clients and families.
Clayton Utz is one of Australia’s leading a full-service commercial law firms and offer pro bono legal support to SCIA. They have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and is committed to addressing disadvantage in Australia. In addition to their general support of SCIA, Clayton Utz have also provided guidance to us when beginning our Reconciliation Action Plan.
