Stories from SCIA
A bequest received
Monique advocated passionately for the rights of people with disabilities. She knew first-hand the difference that could be made through the generosity of others and the true value of independence that came in many forms, be it a ramp, a holiday in an accessible location, the ability to access public transport or the freedom of being able to drive a car.
Monique also knew of the huge, often prohibitive cost associated with making a difference to the lives of people with disabilities and she not only advocated for change, but selflessly did what she could to help others.
Monique left a generous legacy to SCIA knowing it would help many deserving people, and it has.
