Friedreichs Ataxia is a rare genetic disease and there isn’t a whole lot of information out there about it. Shano Seamand is out to change that and has written a book about her experiences as a young female living with Friedreichs Ataxia.  Having struggled to find a public voice for the disease, Shano hopes to become that voice of hope and inspiration to those also suffering from FA and other degenerative diseases. This story tells of her journey with the illness, and how she will not let the disease beat her.

If you would like to borrow the book drop me a line at library@scia.org.au.

Also we do have a couple of other resources on Friedreichs Ataxia in the library – see here for details.
