I have T12 paraplegia from birth and have been in a wheelchair for 20 years. I’m 34 now and my back has such deep curvature from sitting that it gives me constant pain. I’ve found that exercise physio has helped. I’ve been doing it once a week for over a year at Enable Exercise. It gets me standing, takes the pressure off my back and reduces pain to a certain degree.
One day (maybe), I’ll get some more funding from the NDIS so I can go more than once. It’s the most commitment I’ve ever put into my physical health, but as I get older, it’s getting very obvious that something needs to be done about it!
