50th Anniversary Competition

You can win big by entering our 50th anniversary competition

SCIA and Permobil are both celebrating our 50th anniversary this year!

Both organisations have seen significant changes over this period, not least with assistive technology, which has seen some dramatic advances that no one could have predicted 50 years ago.  From standing power chairs to driving modifications to computer software, they have all helped to increase people’s independence.

To mark the occasion and highlight how assistive technology has changed lives, SCIA and Permobil we will be running an online competition throughout August.

We are encouraging you to send in a photo/s of a piece of assistive technology that has really made a difference to your life over the past 50 years plus up to 25 words describing the impact it has made.  Per Udden the founder of Permobilstanding wheelchair

There will be prizes up for grabs for the best entries and the lucky winner will receive a $2,500 voucher, generously donated by Permobil, to put towards any of their products.

Please send your photo and up to 25 words to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Don’t forget to include your name and phone number so we can let you know if you have won!

The winner will be announced at SCIA’s anniversary morning tea on the 4 September at The Little Bay Coast Centre, Little Bay.

Closing date: midnight 30 August 2017.
