SCIA has an extensive list of active organisations with vacancies across a variety of sectors, who have the following currently available:

  • Legal Internship – Part-time or Full-Time opportunity, duration 6-8 weeks, starting January 2020 – Greenwich, NSW. Interested parties’ need to have at least 1-2 years’ experience as a junior lawyer (may consider someone in final year of law studies), as well as legal research skills and a sound ability to apply interpretation of legislation to practical scenarios.   • Data Entry Officer – Full Time/Part Time (negotiable) – Rozelle, New South Wales – Your responsibilities will include data entry and data checking. This role is highly repetitive with a possibly of working from home or at an SCIA office in Little Bay, Wooloomooloo and Belmore. Applicant must be computer literate with good attention to detail.

  • Telephone Market Researcher – Temporary part-time – Home based – Conducting market research interviews by telephone and record the responses in a timely and accurate manner, using your excellent communication skills.

  • Telephone Support Team Member – Part-time – Matraville, NSW – Candidate needs to have strong customer service skills and basic computer skills. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure is desirable. You will be using state-of-the-art security monitoring technology to monitor residential and business premises to ensure customers are supported throughout your shift.

    Spinal Cord Injuries Australia’s Social Enterprise aims to drive positive social change by creating meaningful employment opportunities for people living with physical disability.

    Our Social Enterprise delivers a wide range of commercial contracts, giving people living with disability the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in temporary, part time or full time employment.

    The Social Enterprise has successfully delivered a range of projects in the following skill areas:

  • Telephone market research
  • Data entry
  • Transcription Services
  • Call Centre Support Work
  • Document Digitisation

  • Clients have included Government departments such as Transport NSW, the NSW Rural Fire Service, and the Department of Industry, as well as private corporations such as Westpac and Australia Post.

    People living with disability are under-employed in the workforce. This contributes to social isolation and a range of psychological issues.
