Access It! Using wheelchairs on buses raises awareness about accessible bus transport amongst wheelchair users and provides practical advice on how best to use accessible buses.
The video shows how people using wheelchairs board and position themselves in a bus and finds out through interviews what they feel about using public transport. Although developed for wheelchair users, the video applies to anyone who uses a mobility aid, such as a small scooter, on an accessible bus.
The project was developed and filmed in Wollongong NSW through cooperation with the local bus companies, the Regional Transport Coordinator and Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (Southern). Production was by Why Documentaries.
