You’re Invited to become a Friend of SCI Australia
We invite you to consider becoming a Friend of SCI Australia, and together help us transform the lives of anyone who may receive a spinal cord injury.
By joining our organisation as a Friend, Best Friend, or Friend for Life, you will join with others in the community who have graciously chosen to support SCI Australia through our circle of Friends initiative, launched to commemorate our 40th birthday.
Since 1967 our organisation has supported people with a spinal cord injury from hospital, to home, to workplace; developing and delivering programs to educate, support and care for the wellbeing of the Australian community.
SCI Australia is here for those who need help the most. The effects of a catastrophic injury can be totally overwhelming to the injured person and their family. Our services provide people with the support they need to return to their lives AND their communities. Over the years we have helped thousands of Australians.
During your association with SCI Australia you will meet some of the people we have been able to support, and hear the inspirational and personal stories shared by the SCI Australia Ambassadors.
Your help will directly support the programs and services we offer, and can benefit many Australians who have themselves sustained a spinal cord injury.

Help Change a Life, Make a Bequest
A significant proportion of the public donations SCI Australia receive are bequests. Often these special gifts come from people who have a family member, friend or work colleague who has suffered a spinal cord injury, and believe their support will help change their lives for the better.
To leave a bequest is to make a permanent statement of your values. It is by this act that the world will remember you, what you cared about and for what you stood.
Bequests are also the most realistic way for many donors to leave a legacy. Over the past 40 years, hundreds of individuals, many of them of modest means, have left meaningful legacies to SCI Australia.

Wishlist
Dear Friend,
Thank you for considering your support of SCI Australia. Our organisation is making a real difference to the lives of people with spinal cord injuries and similar conditions.
Unfortunately, we never have enough money to purchase everything we wish we could have.
On the attached Wish List you will find items we wish we could purchase. Items on the list start from $100 and end at around $50,000.
Whether you would like to donate personally for items on the wish list (tax deductible donations) or if you think your organisation may be able to sponsor an item, your help would be greatly appreciated!
Our team at SCI Australia is available to accept your generous donations on (02) 9661 8855 Monday to Friday.
Donors will be acknowledged with a Certificate of Gratitude; and all donors will be acknowledged (with prior approval from yourself) in our quarterly magazine Accord.

Ritchies Community Benefit Card program offers savings for customers and fundraising dollars for our organisation at the same time.
Ritchies have stores in Northern New South Wales and in Victoria.
