Been doing some research on FES. If its so good, why is FES not prelevant in Australia? Does anyone have any experiences, good and bad, with FES?

While vitual communities like this forum are excellent for networking, I would like to complement this with face-to-face networking as well. If any SCI members living in the ACT would like to meet for a coffee somewhere (I'm in the Weston Creek area), reply to this posting and we'll arrange a meeting time and place.

I'm a newby to the para club (6.5 months @ T11).

I've been lodging at two hospitals since my accident. Both have a different approach to wound management, specifically for pressure areas (e.g. backside). One hospital encouraged 'air healing', with the wound open. The other hospital put a dressing on everything that looked red.

Sores I'm talking about originate from poor transfers, not graded pressure sores.

I'd be interested in the experience and opinions of others.

I'm new to the para fraternity (6.5 months @ T11), and am keen to get back to scuba diving. While there's an American dive association, its website provides scant information on areas such as specialised traing for buddies and disabled divers, powered equipment, etc.

Can anyone help?
