Hi
I’ve had built a drive-from-wheelchair scooter sidecar, based on a Yamaha 500cc TMAX. It is a brilliant unit with a SW air shock sidecar suspension that is based on a Mini front suspension fully adjustable for camber, toe in and caster. Braking is by disc all round. All controls are in the sidecar. Scooter was purchased new and has 50km on it now (I think). I’m a C4/5 quadriplegic and I find the steering weight to much at low speed. I’ve done about 10km myself at up to 70km/hr and above 40 the weight on the steering is fine. For any C6 quad or below the scooter is fine at all speeds and it does upto 120km/hr easy. The outfit is fully approved by Queensland Transport I’ve run out of money to continue with the outfits development so have reluctantly decided to sell and stick with my 125cc sidecar. I’m asking cost price for the complete outfit or I’ll separate the sidecar and sell that alone. Anybody interested, or know anybody wanting to get back into bikes after finding themselves in a wheelchair, please contact me. brettpoulsen@hotmail.com. I can send photos and a copy of the article on my 125cc sidecar in the national magazine Scooter Cheers, Brett |

Hey Brett,
That sounds pretty cool. Any chance of uploading a couple of photos on this forum so that users can see it? All you have to do is ensure that the photos are less than 500k altogether and use the browse tool to find them on your pc and press the upload button. Perhaps put it in the For Sale/Wanted forum. I fact if you want add a picture of the bike you are keeping on the Travel & Transport forum that would be cool to! Cheers -------------------- SARGE
