SCIA Independence Expo

The SCIA Independence Expo is a unique one day event aimed at giving people living with spinal cord injury, their family and friends access to an extensive range of the most current products, services and resources all under one roof.

The expo will be held on Saturday, 17th March 2012 between 9.30am - 5.00pm at the Southee Complex, Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park.

Our Peer Support program is an integral part of the planning of this inaugural event. Through the inpatient and community Peer Support programs, SCIA’s Education Officers’ have an extensive product and service knowledge, and they would like to share that with you!

Key elements of the Expo include:

Independence Expo Attendance Support Scheme (IEASS) - SCIA is offering financial support to assist those with an sci to attend our expo. Click here for more information on Terms and Conditions and how to apply.
Product and service showcase – a broad array of organisations exhibiting their most current products and services relevant to people with a physical disability.
Workshops – a range of break-out sessions held throughout the day, offering the latest information on topics of most interest to people with sci.
Assistive Technology Demonstrations – an ongoing practical display of the latest IT, sport and recreation equipment for people to trial.
Ask the expert – a panel of SCIA’s Education Officers will be on hand to assist their clients, members and networks with answers to those tricky questions.
