Accommodation and Care
Are you interested in accessible housing?
Could emergency support help you?
Spinal Cord Injuries Australia Accommodation and Care Service focus on support in four major directions:
- providing direct accommodation through five sites—four in metropolitan Sydney and one in Coffs Harbour;
- providing emergency and drop-in support to clients within the eastern suburbs of Sydney;
- providing advice and information to assist people to gain independence within their homes; and
- advocating for the adoption of universal design principles in all housing construction.
Accommodation Sites
Spinal Cord Injuries Australia operates a number of accommodation sites, some of which are supported, in and around Sydney and Coffs Harbour. Where no staff are onsite, the individual residents are responsible for arranging their own personal care through the HomeCare Service of NSW or, if eligible, the Attendant Care Program.
Each of the houses is designed to maximize the privacy of each resident with all having individual ensuites and some having individual living areas as well as common household areas.
At present there are no vacancies within the Sydney properties. For more information please contact the Community Services Coordinator, Jenni Thompson on 0422 001 659 or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
