Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCI Australia) is a community organisation involved in the PREVENTION of spinal cord injuries, CARE for those who have a spinal cord injury and the support of research to find a CURE for spinal cord injury.

Reporting to the Resource Development Manager, the Employment Consultant will be responsible for clients with an intellectual, psychological or physical disability which affects their ability to access and maintain employment.

The successful applicant will manage a caseload of clients with the responsibility of mentoring, coaching and marketing towards meaningful and sustainable employment under contractual arrangements with DEEWR.

Essential Criteria:

  • DEN/Job Network experience in the areas of physical/intellectual disability including successful outcomes for each individual in employment.
  • Proven track record in direct and reverse marketing
  • A demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with employers, Government and non-Government agencies
  • Competent in administration, record keeping and database management.
