Ladder safetyFalls from ladders have resulted in more than 80 deaths and hundreds of serious injuries in Australia during the past five years.

The brochure Safety Alert—Using a ladder safely provides DIY home renovators and gardeners with simple safety tips to help eliminate the risk of injury.

At the launch of the brochure ACCC Commissioner, Mr John Martin raised awareness of the hazards of using a ladder incorrectly around the home. He was able to speak from personal experience about an accident he had using a ladder.
